Almanzo Wilder Farm - The Almanzo Wilder Farm celebrates Almanzo James Wilder, (February 13, 1857 - October 23, 1949) who was the husband of Laura Ingalls Wilder and father of Rose Wilder Lane, both noted authors. As part of her "Little House" series of autobiographical novels, Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote a book titled Farmer Boy about Almanzo's childhood in upstate New York. The Almanzo Wilder Farm features the original homestead, and expanded gift shop and general store, an extensive collection of antique tools, and much more! At the museum, you will see model replicas of what the homestead looked like in its hayday. The museum is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm, and Sundays, 1 pm to 4 pm. Admission includes a guided tour of the restored farmhouse, reconstructed barns, and the museum. The Almanzo Wilder Farm is located in Malone, just a few miles from Pine Ridge Park Campsites.
